PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY

iModality has a number of psychologists available to provide treatment of depression, anxiety, anger-related issues, and other difficulties.  We have both male and female psychologists, depending on your gender preference.  iModality’s psychologists are fully registered with the APHRA.

We accept private referrals as well as NDIS, Medicare, Work Cover and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) clients.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSSESSMENTS

We provide a range of psychological assessments, including for Court.  iModality has also specialised in assessments within both the adolescent and adult context. 

We have extensive experience working within schools towards providing support for teachers, parents, and students alike.

Assessments are also available for the NDIS and Family Court matters.  

REHABILITATION

iModality provides specialised rehabilitation programs for individuals seeking to address problematic behaviours including:

  • illicit substance misuse
  • domestic violence
  • sexual offending
  • anger and aggression
  • on-line addictions

Our holistic service incorporates case management of individuals including within forensic, organisational and scholastic settings.

PROGRAMS

EMOTIONAL REGULATION TRAINING

iModality has developed a program which promotes skill development, across ages, in the area of healthy emotional control.  Emotional regulation is widely considered a fundamental life skill.  Our psychologists work closely with support workers and therapy assistants to ensure appropriate skills are practiced and reinforced.

SUPERVISOR AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING

iModality has developed a range of training programs to support organisations to meet the needs of their staff.  Our unique Psychological Readiness for Managers program offers a detailed and structured curriculum that addresses the complex issues facing managers across all industries.   Topics include: motivating staff, meeting OH&S requirements, promoting accountability, and self-awareness.  Please contact us directly regarding the application of this training within your organisation.

OPERATIONAL STAFFING AND TRAINING

iModality has established a global presence that extends to the provision of highly specialised operational staff.   Our team of contractors covers multiple languages and profiles. 

iModality was listed on the Australian Government’s CVE Directory of Intervention Services at its inception in 2015.  iModality was recently included on the Australian Government’s CVE Services Panel (2017-2021).

MEDIATION, FACILITATION & NEGOTIATION

iModality‘s Nationally Accredited mediators and facilitators have multi-lateral experience in extreme conflict zones; restorative justice; cross-cultural mediation; youth justice; negotiation; and conflict coaching.

iModality‘s specialist team assist companies, community groups, schools and NGOs to resolve conflict without the need for expensive litigation.

iModality’s principal mediators have operated within government and independent agencies to deliver innovative violence prevention, support services and training programs across a wide jurisdiction in both urban and Indigenous community contexts.

iModality’s specialists have also provided, facilitated and managed communications and media to Government, non-Government and commercial broadcasters for more than twenty years nationally and overseas.

Damien Thomas

Psychologist

BA (Psych); GradDipPsych; MPsych(Org); MAPS

Mr. Damien Thomas completed his Masters in Organisational Psychology at Macquarie University, Sydney.  He has over 20 years-experience as a psychologist and has specialised in the field of adolescent psychology.  Mr. Thomas has provided consultancy within the education sector, where he has undertaken large-scale projects including sociological research.  Mr. Thomas founded iModality in 2014 following a 13-year career within the national security sector.

Mr. Thomas continues to provide wide-ranging consultancy within the security sector, most notably within the field of countering violent extremism (CVE).  He has extensive experience working within culturally diverse environments.

Arabella Smallhorn

Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)

BSc-Psych; GradDipPsychSci; MPsych(Clinical)

Arabella is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and endorsed as a provider of psychology services through Medicare. Arabella is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is currently completing clinical endorsement through the AHPRA registrar program.

Arabella completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science at Bond University on the Gold Coast, and completed her Bachelor of Science- Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney.

Arabella has experience working across the life-span in a variety of clinical settings including: adult mental health and health, a university clinic and a government high school and primary school. In addition to private practice, Arabella works as a Psychologist in a government inpatient and community mental health setting.

Arabella practices within an evidence-based framework including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness strategies. Arabella works with individuals across the life-span and believes in providing client-centred therapy which is tailored to the needs of the individual. 

Arabella works with a range of presentations including, but not limited to: anxiety and mood disorders, drug and alcohol problems, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, interpersonal problems, sleep disturbances and adjustment disorders.

Arabella is also available for cognitive, educational and diagnostic assessments and reports to assist with funding applications and educational support.
